Where Do I Start?

So how do you get started? Download two or three of the above commercial AI and play. Just play. Ask it questions relevant to you...your business, your hobbies, or even your life situations. AI will always have a response. Just remember that response is based on patterns and algorithms. Not what is right or wrong. Not with any sense of what empathy is. AI's sole objective is to make a convincing argument for whatever its stated premise is.

How do you get around that fact? You give it very detailed parameters. One very valid piece of advice is to tell it that it is okay to say "I don't have an answer to that question." Otherwise, just like human's, the AI algorithm has a tendency to fill in the knowledge gaps the best way it knows how. It is also good to ask it the pros and cons of an idea. Or to play devil's advocate to your current idea. That way you avoid the trap of falling into an echo chamber where you just hear everything you want to hear.

AI does not remember...unless you tell it to. One of the things that helps tremendously is to tell the system to save the conversation as a text file then save that text file and apply it to the next conversation. In this way memory continuity can be provided and a long term conversation can be had. Think of each AI session as birthing a new entity. It knows nothing unless you tell it.

In the commercial world it's all about token usage. The shorter and to the point the AI response is, the cheaper the token cost and the more work gets done. Tell AI to create the main themes in bullet point form. Instruct it to keep answers contained to a short paragraph. Anything to limit token usage. Some have even told it to answer like a caveman with one or two word responses to everything. Hilarious, but not extremely practical.

So have fun!!! And prepare for what will be a life changing technology. Individuals are using AI to completely run solo businesses. Corporations are incorporating AI into their work structure. It is much more than just a chatbot. It can find solutions to problems. It can work 24 hours 7 days a week while you sleep. It can create programming code. Make phone calls and conduct interviews. Many amazing things. Just always remember....AI is the radio, but we humans are the music.
